Answers to some of the most frequently asked questions
Transfer charge (Direct Transfers) for the 1st reel any length or any gauge 8mm film up to 200 feet £18.00. Charges for additional film footage on the same spool £4.00 per 50 feet.
Classic Transfers to DVD. Free fixed price quotation on receipt and examination of film footage. Please send stamp addressed for envelope for Free Information pack and price guide. Prices for 9.5mm and 16mm transfers, available on request.
Broken or badly made joints/splices properly repaired on request
DVD/Video Sound Tracks. With each first transfer, copyright free, light, popular classical music is normally dubbed onto the video sound track with our compliments and at no additional charge. Due to current copyright legislation, music from records, tapes etc cannot be used without first obtaining permission from the copyright holders in writing.
Introductory Titles. "Memories of Yesteryears" are usually added to Classic Transfers at the start of the video and a "The End" caption is added, to complete the production.
A Master Recording (or intermediate stage) is allways made on Classic Transfers. This allows any required editing to be carried out if requested.

Classic Video transfers are always monitored during production. On request a special RGB colour video control processor can be used to help correct/improve any dark or wrongly tinted or over saturated colour casts.
Cropping of film edges. Some cropping is quite normal on cine to video transfers, as the television formats are quite different to cine film sizes. This small amount of necessary edge cropping does not spoil the end result. We have never received any hint of dissatisfaction regarding such cropping.
